Welcome to Salvia Holistic. My name is Julia and my journey into the realm of holistic health is a testament to the power of lifelong learning and passion. From my early days of exploring the medicinal virtues of wild flora, inspired by the historic 'Culpeper's Complete Herbal,' to my academic pursuits in Immunology and Microbiology, my path has been one of continuous growth and discovery. My academic achievements, including a PhD in Medical Parasitology, reflect a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of human health and disease.
My post-doctoral fellowship at Guy’s Hospital in London further honed my expertise, particularly in Allergy and Respiratory Medicine, areas critical to human health. The transition to motherhood brought new dimensions to my life and work, as I embraced the holistic practices of reflexology, acupressure, and homeopathy. These practices not only enhanced the well-being of my own children but also enriched my professional repertoire, blending ancient wisdom with modern scientific knowledge.
The move to Asia opened doors to new learning opportunities, allowing me to delve deeper into alternative therapies that have stood the test of time. My experience in teaching Biology for over two decades reflects my dedication to education and my ability to adapt my career to my family's needs. Now, as a certified Reflexologist and Swedish Massage therapist, I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), advocating for a balanced approach to health that encompasses both physical and emotional well-being.
My practice, Salvia Holistic, located at The Practice Rooms, in the heart of Cheltenham, offers a sanctuary for those seeking respite from the stresses of modern life. My extensive background and compassionate approach enable me to help people of all ages on their own journeys toward health and harmony.
